Chapter 363: Lift His Head
Chiyoda Hospital morgue, six corpses were arranged in a row, each covered with a white cloth with no markings on them. They lay here quietly.
Possibly because of previous mental preparation, or perhaps due to Ariel Higgins’s experiences with many storms, she calmly lifted a white cloth to reveal a head.
Although Yusuf Zuck had killed many, at that moment, he felt somewhat afraid. He felt his courage faltered compared to Ariel Higgins’s, for he dreaded facing this scene.
As soon as he saw the first corpse, he recognized someone, Otis Quinn, who had died a horrific death: half of his head was shorn off by a sharp knife, and at this moment, his brain had not been sutured; it was only superficially washed and patched together, his face still stained with dried blood.
Yusuf Zuck closed his eyes for a moment, clenching his fists tightly.
"His name was Otis Quinn. You know him," Ariel Higgins gently touched Otis Quinn’s cold and bloodless cheek and slowly said, "Otis Quinn, it’s time to go home. I’ve come to take you home."
Tears silently fell as Ariel Higgins struggled not to cry aloud.
The second person was also somewhat familiar to Yusuf Zuck, seemingly one of the men who had rushed into the Japanese restaurant with an oil drum that night.
"His name was Sanpao. I called him Brother San! Brother San, it’s time to go home. I’ve come to pick you all up."
The third... the fourth... the fifth... until the sixth, Ariel Higgins was trembling non-stop. She had no strength left, and also felt scared, scared to unveil the last one.
