Chapter 327: Take a Disciple
Yusuf Zuck sat in the café and after having another cup of coffee, he finally picked up his phone and called Mia in Hong Kong.
"I’m at work, my boss is lecturing..." Mia’s voice was very soft, now that she had truly returned to normal life, living it to the fullest.
"Mia, do me a favor," Yusuf thought for a moment and said, "I just came clean to Ruth, and although she tried to persuade me, I feel like she might be just pretending."
"What confession? Did you confess about us?" Mia suddenly screamed without caring if her boss was lecturing her or not.
Before Yusuf could reply, he heard Mia arguing loudly on the phone, "What are you yelling at, why are you yelling at me? What meeting? Granny here doesn’t want to attend it anymore, is that okay? If you dare, fire me then, if you can’t fire me, you resign..." The girl had a complete meltdown, apparently thrown into chaos.
"Yusuf, hurry up and tell me, did you mention the thing between us?" The little girl seemed to have stepped out of the conference room.
"No, it’s about me and another woman, and that woman now..." Yusuf recounted Ember Vance’s situation.
"Damn, it wasn’t me? You scared me to death, I even cursed out our manager, why didn’t you say so sooner..." Mia started ranting again.
"Ruth is like that, strong in front of others but fragile behind closed doors. She’s probably in the office crying now. What’s wrong with you, always stirring up trouble with women, if you’re going to mess with someone, mess with me. I’m so pretty, so nice, why bother with others? And now I have to clean up your mess!"
Yusuf fell silent, at a loss for words.
