He counted out one hundred and fifty thousand and handed it over to the two. When they offered to write him a receipt, Yusuf, with a smile, waved his hand and said, "A gentleman’s agreement is better than any receipt. I’m not afraid of you running off with the money. If you do, consider it a lesson bought, a sign I’ve trusted the wrong friends. So no need for receipts, just give me a call when you have the results!"
"Done, wait for our good news!" Anais Dillon and Isaac Quintana both nodded in agreement. Actually, their receipts were truly useless. Isaac Quintana used a fake name anyway, so what good was his receipt? It might as well have never been issued.
Yusuf Zuck was a smart man, a real sharp one, so he understood this. The two were impressed by Yusuf’s forthright nature. It was rare to find an employer like him.
The three left the restaurant together, Anais Dillon drove a Chevrolet while Isaac Quintana drove a Great Wall H5, the same model Yusuf had donated that morning.
