After the meal, Floyd Hart drove the old Buick van with Uriel Arellano, Grey Petty, and Winter, four of them left for the old house in Haidian where they all lived now. The beds and blankets were ready-made there, complete with pots and bowls.
The four of them cherished this hard-won job very much. A basic monthly salary of fifteen thousand yuan, they cooked at home themselves, but Yusuf Zuck was responsible for providing rice, flour, and cooking oil. As for housing, there was no need to mention it—this was a newly purchased house by Zuck, costing more than four million yuan.
There was also a car provided. As long as they were on the job, they could drive out without worrying about gas money. So this month, they could basically save up to fifteen thousand yuan.
And this fifteen thousand yuan of pure income was probably more than what many white-collar workers made, right?
"What kind of car do you guys like?" Yusuf Zuck was driving with Samuel Ross, Dream Morrow, and Marco Schmidt three. He had been talking about buying a car but hadn’t found the time to do it, so now that the Buick was given to Floyd Hart and the others, Ross’s trio was left without a car.
"I actually have my eyes on a Land Cruiser," Samuel Ross said with a smile.
"What about you, Marco? And Dream, you two also tell me," Yusuf Zuck said, looking at them through the rearview mirror.
"I’ll just take your Range Rover, not a new one, I want this one," Dream Morrow said vigorously, patting the seat, looking very excited.
"Why do you just want mine?" Yusuf Zuck asked, confused.
Dream Morrow explained, "A new car needs a few thousand kilometers of breaking in. This car is already broken in, it’s just like going on a long trip, so you can just start driving it when you get it without worrying about this and that."
