Chapter 111: Her Dream Every Night
Miles O’Brien never expected that after Yusuf Zuck had a look around, he would decide to rent the place. And what would be the consequences of renting this place? It was very likely someone could die a violent death.
So, she didn’t draft any agreement with the young man but dragged Yusuf Zuck outside instead.
"I don’t agree to rent it, not for any reason," Miles O’Brien said, not for anything else but because she was afraid that Yusuf Zuck might one day die a violent death.
"Just listen to me, it’ll be fine," Yusuf Zuck said with a smile. "Do as I say, and we could make a fortune."
"What’s the use of making all that money," Miles O’Brien urged in desperation.
"I know a master who can break the bad feng shui here, so don’t worry. I’ll call the master to come over, and this place won’t affect us negatively. Instead, it will bring us smooth sailing," Yusuf Zuck didn’t give Miles O’Brien a chance to argue and returned to the shop.
Miles O’Brien stomped her foot in frustration but was helpless to change anything. She had realized that Yusuf Zuck was incredibly stubborn and wouldn’t listen to advice.
The young man in the shop, Ray Escobar, was the Escober Family’s second son. After Yusuf Zuck had a brief understanding of the situation, he had Miles O’Brien notify Ray Escobar’s mother and his siblings to come over and sign the contract as a precaution.
The house wasn’t private property but public property of the Ruiz Market Management Department. The Escober Family had rented it for five years and had three years left, so they could only sublet it for three years. If Yusuf Zuck wanted to rent it again after that, he would have to go through the market management.
After a busy morning, when all the members of the Escober Family, young and old, had come to sign, Yusuf Zuck finally relaxed. Miles O’Brien and Ray Escobar then went to the bank to transfer the money, and Yusuf Zuck informed Miles O’Brien that he would return in the afternoon since he had something to do at noon.
