Chapter 109: Tip-off [Second Update for Monthly Votes]
Yusuf Zuck didn’t rush back to the city center from the airport overnight; instead, he curled up in his car and slept until dawn.
Today’s task was to first sort out the store’s affairs, then discuss the renovation with Miles O’Brien, and he also planned to transfer either Samuel Ross or one of the guards to the Ruiz Family community marketplace. He wasn’t at ease with Miles O’Brien being there alone, but with Samuel Ross or a guard, it would be much more stable.
At half-past eight in the morning, after having a quick breakfast on the roadside, he finally drove his car to the parking lot, where Miles O’Brien’s new MINI was also parked.
Yusuf got out of the car, looking at the various antiques on the roadside as he walked inside.
Meanwhile, at the Chaoyang Branch of the Beijing Police Station, Ember Vance arrived at her unit at eight in the morning and had been dealing with a case in hand. At half-past eight, the internal phone rang. It was James Hart, the deputy squad leader, calling her.
"Ember, come to my office," James said before hanging up.
Ember tidied up her desk and then quickly went upstairs, where the deputy squad leader’s office was located.
After knocking and entering, there was no one else in the room beside James Hart, who was on the phone and gestured for Ember to sit down.
Ember didn’t sit down right away but instead poured some flower water and helped James water the plants.
A moment later, James hung up the phone and then said directly, "Ember, that Fengdu case last time, was the security guard named Yusuf Zuck?"
