Chapter 96: Bloodline hybrid system
As he arrived back at dawnless, he already had a list of what to do.
His plan wasn’t only to strengthen the organization’s base strength, but also to foster his own growth. More specifically, his techniques.
Including the Flow, which he hadn’t even begun, there were also the techniques themselves. As he began pulling out his plants and putting them aside, he thought about them.
The first was the Aging Reversal technique. He was beginning to understand why the clan that sold it off despised the technique and degraded it to one they all used to appear young.
Changing one’s face was easy; all one had to do was shift the facial muscles. However, altering the atmosphere, which was the true aging technique, was only possible at a saint level because it was akin to time manipulation, just like the Astra family. And unfortunately, not everyone could reach that level.
Then there was Decay. Nobody truly believed decaying could actually go so far; hell, their ancestor didn’t even create a single technique for it. He, too, hadn’t been able to, but thanks to the Silent Staff, he was able to form Withering Touch and Withering Rain. Given that even the cultivation technique was vague for that matter, he had a hard time, and that was thanks to Eye.
The main point was, Decay was a grandmaster technique, meaning 7th or 8th star, and he planned to form techniques using Decay. For example, his Withering Touch could be the first technique or form, and like that, he would make the rest. What he needs are techniques he could use to fight.
The second was his Absolute Cut and Destruction. This was purely a saint-level technique, and to be more specific, a 10th-star technique. This technique had six forms: Cleave, Burst, Tear, Fall, Final Cut, and Final Destruction. It was the names from the last two that helped in forming the name.
After grading the techniques he currently used in stars, he had to stop using them because, from what he understood, he wasn’t using them well at all. Cleave was normally meant to come with a heavy pressure descending, and Burst was normally meant to lock a person in space and attack, but the way he had been using them was way off.
But he couldn’t just give up on them. He already had it in his core among his cultivation, so he couldn’t just ignore it.
So, using the will from the core, he wanted to form techniques that would fit him, just like he wanted for Decay.
