Chapter 80: Restoration Plan
Baines and the five pillars of Darkan stood before a glorious vault deep beneath the Darkan lands.
’Is this a lair?’ Baines couldn’t help but think as he witnessed its size. The double doors reached the height of several standing humans.
The Darkan head then placed his hand in the center, and after a few seconds, the large vault opened. What lay before them was a small altar, and several dragon hearts around it.
The dragon hearts of the last dragons.
Before they died, they left their hearts in case they got a clue on how to restore their heritage.
Then behind that altar was the largest dragon Baines had ever seen, larger than the lightning dragon he had earlier met: the ancient red dragon, about 200 meters in size.
Baines wondered why the vault was so huge; but he understood immediately, it was to store this body.
’She was definitely a Saint, at least.’ The residual pressure he was feeling was similar to the blood woman he had met earlier, even though she had been long dead.
"This is the clue our ancestor left for us. But since no one ever knew anything, it was kept here," the Darkan’s head explained as he approached the small altar.
"How do you intend to restore us?" one elder asked curiously.
"We are going to wake her up," Baines pointed at the large corpse of their ancestor.
