Chapter 145 -145-The Five Archangels
The angels Owen had faced just now were undoubtedly formidable, but unfortunately for them, they weren’t up against an ordinary human—they were facing Owen, a 2-star peak Ancient God.
No matter how fierce their charges had been, to Owen, they were nothing more than petty distractions.
With a single blow, the furious angels had been reduced to hollow corpses—nothing but lifeless shells. Owen glanced at their remains without a hint of emotion. At his current level, tier-6 Awakeners no longer posed any threat to him. He simply didn’t see them as worthy opponents anymore.
Turning away, Owen focused once more on the remaining coffins.
With a wave of his hand, Divine Vessel energy burst forth like a tidal wave, erupting with devastating power. The coffins in front of him shattered instantly, and the angels within—before they even realized what was happening—were obliterated, their forms torn apart into mist and blood.
Having thoroughly cleared out the outer ring of coffins, Owen’s gaze shifted inward to the five coffins at the center of the space.
These five coffins were arranged in a pentagram formation, and the aura they emitted was drastically different from the others. It was sharp, overbearing—oppressive—and their connection to one another formed a spiritual net that made the soul tremble.
Unlike the others, the five angels within these central coffins had all reached tier-7.
And that made a difference.
Tier-7 Awakeners were powerhouses in their own right. But these were no ordinary tier-7s—they were angels, legendary beings known throughout the mythos. Their battle strength far exceeded that of ordinary humans or spellbeasts of the same tier.
In a one-on-one battle, neither a human nor a spellbeast could match them on equal footing.
