After Bingbing made her decision, she called Qilin, informing him about her injury and her current stay at the hospital.
Qilin genuinely cared for Bingbing. When he heard about her injury, he became anxious. Although it normally took him half an hour to get to the hospital from his home, he managed to reach there in only twenty minutes.
Once he got to the hospital, he rushed to find Bingbing.
Seeing Bingbing lying on the hospital bed, he asked with a pained expression, "How are you doing? Is your injury serious?"
Bingbing wanted to downplay her injury, saying it was minor and she would be fine after a couple of days of rest. But catching Qingtian’s disapproving gaze, she changed her story and honestly admitted, "The doctor said I have a sprained ligament. I mustn’t walk or move around much for a while."
"How did you end up so seriously injured? Does it hurt?" Qilin carefully attempted to touch Bingbing’s injured foot, but held back fearing he might hurt her more.
Bingbing could sense Qilin’s concern for her. Touched, she smiled sweetly and reassured him, "It’s okay, it doesn’t hurt as long as I don’t exert force."
Qilin gently embraced Bingbing, assuring her softly, "It’s okay. While you can’t walk, I’ll be your legs. Once you can walk, I’ll be your crutch."
Bingbing’s heart melted even more.
She lifted her arm, hugging Qilin’s lean waist. Resting her chin on his shoulder she sympathetically asked, "How is your mother’s health now? If you come to take care of me, what about her?"
