Star Shadows (Lang Ya Scribe) had translated this much earlier under “NIF Exchange: The Sleepover” (para 3 onwards), so I’m posting the link here again!

Just a point to note on Star Shadows’ translation – when MCS calls out “Father….”, he was actually calling out “Fu shuai….” (父帅), which translates as “Father Commander….” (the same way XJY refers to his father as Father Emperor).

So, if XJY had been paying more careful attention, he may have caught on a whole lot faster than he did.

Also, after re-reading Star Shadows’ translation, I realize that I should have upgraded Concubine Jing to Consort Jing. So from henceforth, she shall be known as such. But I’m unlikely to go backwards and make the edits, so I’m informing you now just in case you notice a discrepancy in future translations!
