Book 9: Chapter 10: The Three Elements
Qin Lun glanced at the Zeppelin Airship beneath his feet, curled his lips, and gave his two companions a warm smile. “I do have an idea, but getting that Mid-Magic Gold Card still won’t be easy. Besides our unity, we’ll also need some luck!”
Before he could finish speaking, he saw Grant and Lace both take a step back, looking very cautious.
“Don’t smile like that, it makes me uneasy!” Grant said with a straight face. Lace, standing beside him, didn’t dare to speak up, but she nodded repeatedly like a pecking chicken, looking as if she had lingering fears, which made Qin Lun feel frustrated.
“Alright, you win!” Qin Lun couldn’t help but twitch his cheek. Suppressing his anger, he laid out his entire plan and began discussing it quietly.
From the clue just given by Shattered Starry Sky, as the defending side, Star Void was restricted by laws and couldn’t notify other Apostles on a large scale through the Apostle Soul Mark.
Perhaps this also meant that the information given by Hansen and Rand had some errors, possibly related to their own experiences. Those two thought Shattered Starry Sky had prepared by sending equally elite Apostles into the Spatial War.
But now it seemed that wasn’t the case. Shattered Starry Sky might have been passively responding to the fight. In other words, before this, it was still following the allocation rules of normal worlds, randomly selecting Quest Worlds and hiring Apostles.
If that was so, the Apostles sent to the Divine Comedy World would vary greatly in quality. Moreover, Qin Lun had learned from Lace that due to the mission time gaps, they were exactly at the tail end of Superstring Space’s first wave of invasion and the beginning of the second wave.
Besides Apostles like Hansen and Hill who were lucky enough to capture live people, only the various large teams, because of their many subordinates, had obtained some similar information. But they couldn’t determine if this was an isolated incident or a full-scale invasion by Superstring Space. So they only took some preventive measures. For example, leaving Lace to Qin Lun was one of those measures.
