“What do you need us to do?” Hill’s smiling face appeared on the projector. All the serial killers felt a sense of schadenfreude about the trouble Qin Lun was facing.

Hill and Hansen were happy to help Qin Lun, but not just because they owed him a favor from before. They had no other choice. Whether it was Hill and Hansen, or Grant and Rand, they all knew they were very unique individuals.

Because of their paranoid worldviews and occasional mental breakdowns, they could join other apostles’ temporary teams but could never truly fit into an ordinary team. As their strength grew and missions became more difficult in the future, they had to cooperate with each other to form a Murderer Team.

During this early stage when they were still weak, the loss of any one serial killer would weaken the future Murderer Team. Watching Qin Lun fail would be amusing, but it wouldn’t be the smart thing to do. This was also the underlying reason why Qin Lun had helped them back then—it wasn’t purely out of risk-taking or curiosity.

“Help me scout out what enemies are in the villa, and if possible, find out whether my servants are alive or dead! This will help me make a decision,” Qin Lun said thoughtfully. “If a large team is really targeting me, then I’ll have no choice but to temporarily join Sky Float and rely on their protection to get through this crisis.”
