Book 7: Chapter 12: Yorknew City
In the Crimson Gobi continent, the vehicle city of the Lu-Lu Tribe was filled with corpses and smoke. The surrounding tents were already burning fiercely. Except for the occasional crackling sounds from the fire, the city was eerily silent. Under the blazing sun, it actually gave people a chilling feeling.
The only relatively intact tent in the vehicle city was the central one. It used to be the residence of the Goblin Elder. However, the old goblin had finally passed away a month ago.
The successor was Ged, Didi’s father. Fortunately, Ged was not in the vehicle city at that time. He had taken a team to “scavenge” in the Gobi, unintentionally avoiding this deadly disaster.
Now in the big tent were two human women. One was wearing a judo uniform, her long hair tied into a ponytail hanging down her back. Her face showed clear signs of distress. The other woman appeared younger, seemingly only sixteen or seventeen years old, with short bobbed hair. Her face had a playful and clever expression, making her look lively and cute.
At that moment, her eyes were gleaming with excitement, like a teenage girl who got her first Barbie doll. However, if someone saw what she was holding in her hand, they certainly wouldn’t find it amusing.
Her right arm was stretched out straight, her five fingers hooked into the skull of a goblin guard. She lifted him high into the air. A mixture of pale yellow brain matter and blood dripped down along her wrist. The goblin guard wasn’t completely dead yet; his limbs twitched involuntarily.
“Lady Mei, can we leave now?” Yoshida Junko glanced at the girl in front of her. When her gaze fell on the brutally killed goblin, she couldn’t help but shiver.
Sometimes, she really couldn’t understand how such a gentle young man could have a sister who treated human life like grass, a serial killer. And from the expression on her face, she seemed to thoroughly enjoy the process of killing.
“Hehe, scared?” Qin Mei giggled and casually flung the corpse she was holding. It was tossed into the corner of the big tent like a trash bag. She turned and patted Junko’s cheek, speaking in a patronizing tone, “Don’t be so glum. You’re so young, yet you act like an old woman.”
