Book 3: Chapter 43: Messages
After hearing Didi’s money-making plan, Qin Lun immediately understood. The little guy was using the Auction House to earn price differences. The 2000 Shattered Crystals he gave Didi were not too many, but not too few either. They could buy some low-level recovery foods.
These recovery foods were not exchanged by Apostles from the Shattered Starry Sky’s exchange list. Even if Apostles had extra recovery items from exchanges, they would not sell them, as they would always need them. The recovery items in the Auction House were local specialties produced by various Sapient Races. For example: the Elven Race’s World Tree Dew, the Demon Clan’s Blood Pool Water, and so on.
These things were the main products that the major Sapient Races used to exchange for Apostle currency in Apostle City. However, the prices of such things in the Auction House always fluctuated. Didi used the price differences at different times to earn very small margins.
Apostles could not do this kind of “business” because it required a lot of time spent in the Auction House, collecting information on the flow of people, item prices, and the quantity of specialty products.
Most importantly, the price fluctuations of these specialty products were very small, and the quantities were not very large. Didi could earn 1000 Shattered Crystals with 2000, but even if he was given twenty thousand Shattered Crystals, he would probably only earn 2000. The profit was not proportional to the capital.
However, for Didi, the little guy, besides taking care of Qin Lun’s daily needs, he really had nothing to do in Devil’s Horn. Being able to find a way to make money in just twenty days and earn the living expenses for both of them meant he was better than many people.
“Little guy, I think your future achievements will definitely be higher than your grandfather’s!” Qin Lun smiled and patted Didi’s small head. “It’s a pity you are not an Apostle. Doing these small things really wastes your intelligence. Otherwise, I would definitely take you into the incredibly exciting world of adventure.”
“Master, my grandfather said that the Sapient Races of Shattered Starry Sky can also become Apostles!” Didi slyly blinked his big eyes and said softly, “He once saw a High-Rank Apostle transform his Dragon servant into an Apostle!”
“Oh!” Qin Lun raised his eyebrows and fell into thought, stroking his chin.
He had considered this question before: whether the native races of Shattered Starry Sky could become Apostles. But from the information he had encountered so far, even if such transformations existed, the number should be very small. Either it required the servant’s Apostle master to pay a huge price, or it required extremely rare law items. “Little guy, I will continue to give you the monthly living expenses, and the Shattered Crystals you earn will be for you to manage yourself. You can use them to send to your clan in Crimson Gobi, to buy food you like, to spend in Devil’s Horn’s entertainment city… Remember, for anything!” Qin Lun narrowed his eyes and said kindly.
A trace of confusion appeared in Didi’s eyes. His master mentioned many places to spend money in Devil’s Horn, but did not mention the Training Ground. Although his master did not give him any promises, the little guy knew his master hoped he would go to the Training Ground to learn magic or martial skills.
The Goblin’s small claws clenched tightly. He suddenly understood. He had unintentionally gained this master’s recognition. His fate was at a crossroads, but did he really have the ability to go to Other World adventures…
Qin Lun looked at Didi’s confused eyes, smiled slightly, poured himself a glass of red wine and drank it slowly, then opened the messages on the Projector.
There were several messages in the Projector, two of which were greetings from the Cunning Demon Beruses and the Elf Mafa.
Qin Lun casually replied to Beruses. He carried the Cunning Demon’s investment and had to let him know he was still alive. As for the Elf Mafa, Qin Lun thought for a moment and sent an invitation to meet.
After the Moonlit Elf survived the last election crisis, Mafa stayed in Devil’s Horn as a high-level manager of the Elven Race. Actually, Mafa originally did not have the seniority to stay in Devil’s Horn, but his good performance during the election crisis won him this position.
There were several other messages from Apostles in the Projector, two of which were from Lin Feng and Little Lian. In fact, this message was about a gathering of prisoners. The dozen or so prisoners who entered Shattered Starry Sky initiated a gathering and invited them to attend.
Qin Lun thought for a moment and then sent a message to the two, stating that he would attend this gathering. No matter how dangerous these people were, they all came from the Earth Federation. Exchanging adventure experiences with each other was not a bad thing. Besides, he also wanted to see how much the other Serial Killers had grown.
Apart from these messages from acquaintances, the rest were from unfamiliar numbers. Most were inquiries about the price of that Dark Gold Helmet in the Auction House, and a few were notifications of successful auctions.
Two Petrified Magic Eyes brought in 2000 Shattered Crystals. Phantom Demon Rumors Record sold for 3000 Shattered Crystals. Encyclopedia of Low Magic World Monsters and Molde Research Specimen Atlas only brought in 1000 Shattered Crystals. After deducting some fees, Qin Lun now had a total of 25000 Shattered Crystals.
Qin Lun opened the messages one by one. For simple price inquiries and offers below seventy thousand Shattered Crystals, he basically did not reply. These Apostles just wanted to find bargains and did not really need that Dark Gold Helmet. Haggling with them was a pure waste of time.
