Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode

Chapter 609: Start Moving

The moment the words left Clyde’s mouth, the sky grumbled as if responding to his declaration.

One of the massive black tentacles moved above, then descended.

It moved slowly at first, but the weight behind it was immense. As it came down, the air warped around it and a deep rumble spread across the city.

Then it struck.

The impact obliterated everything it touched.

Buildings shattered instantly as if they were made of dust.

The ground cracked open in wide fractures, splitting apart under the force.

Debris exploded outward as entire sections of the ruined city collapsed in a single motion.

Another tentacle followed down.

They spread across the area, slamming into streets, crushing structures, tearing apart what little remained of the city. Their movement carried overwhelming destruction, as if the creature was casually erasing the world beneath it.

"Shit!" Connor cursed.

The four of them didn’t hesitate and retreated immediately, moving back into the molten nest as the shockwaves reached them.

The ground trembled violently beneath their feet while fragments of debris scattered past the entrance.

Connor turned toward Clyde, his voice tense and rising.

"You really think we can just go out there and attack that thing and kill it?!"

Clyde’s head turned slowly. His eyes locked onto Connor with a sharp, cold, and irritated gaze.

"If you have a better idea, then say it," Clyde said flatly. "If not, stop shouting."

There was a brief pause. Then his gaze darkened further. "Or I’ll kill you."

Connor froze in his place.

A chill ran down his spine instantly. His breath stopped as he realized that there was no bluff in those words. Clyde would actually do it without hesitation.

Sean stepped in immediately and placed a hand on Connor’s shoulder.

"Sorry," Sean said quickly, his tone calm despite the tension. "We’re just... scared."

Clyde didn’t answer.

He let out a sharp breath, clearly annoyed, before turning away from them.

Without another word, he shifted his focus deeper into the nest.

"Vulkrath," he called.

The molten beast stirred.

From the depths of the chamber, the massive creature moved forward. Its molten body glowed with lava as it responded to Clyde’s command without hesitation.

Then it began to move toward the entrance.

Sean and Connor watched in stunned silence as the enormous creature passed them.

Their eyes widened.

"What the hell..." Connor whispered.

Clyde spoke without even looking back.

"That’s mine," he said simply. "It’ll help us."

The words hung in the air.

Before they could even process it fully, Vulkrath reached the edge of the nest and began digging into the ground.

Its massive limbs tore through rock and molten layers with ease, carving out a path with controlled force.

Clyde turned back to them.

"Here’s the plan," he said. "We attack it with everything we have. It will reveal its weakness eventually."

His tone remained calm and direct.

Sean nodded slowly, forcing himself to focus.

"We have a few healing potions," he said.

Clyde extended his hand. "Give me one."

Sean hesitated for a second, then reached into his inventory and handed one over.

Clyde took it without a word and drank it immediately.

Warmth spread through his body as the fatigue from earlier eased.

He let out a breath of relief. Then his eyes sharpened again.

"Let’s go."

Without waiting, Clyde turned and walked toward the exit.

The moment Clyde stepped out of the molten nest, the world outside greeted him with chaos.

The sky churned violently above as massive black tentacles continued to descend at irregular intervals, each strike sending shockwaves across the ruined city. Dust and debris filled the air and distant structures collapsed under the relentless assault.

Clyde did not hesitate. He uses [Pure Lightning] immediately.

White and blue lightning erupted from his body in an instant.

It wrapped around him like a storm, crackling and snapping as it surged across his arms and legs before fully enveloping him.

The ground beneath his feet fractured slightly under the sudden release of energy.

Then he moved.

His figure shot forward in a blur.

He didn’t run across the ground. Instead, he launched himself upward, landing against the side of a broken building before immediately pushing off again.

His movements were fast and precise as he climbed through the vertical ruins, using the scattered structures as stepping points to gain height.

His motion carried explosive speed, lightning trailing behind him like streaks of light cutting through the dust-filled air.

Mina followed right after.

Her movements were sharp and controlled as she leapt from one surface to another. Her body stayed low and efficient as she kept up with Clyde’s pace.

Her eyes remained locked forward and just focused entirely on the target above.

Sean and Connor followed behind them.

For a short moment, Connor struggled to match the sudden acceleration, but their enhanced stats allowed them to adapt quickly.

They pushed their bodies harder, leaping across broken walls and climbing through the ruined structures as they chased after Clyde and Mina.

It wasn’t easy.

But they could keep up.

Above them, the tentacles continued to move, their massive forms casting shifting shadows across the city as the four of them ascended through the collapsing environment.

Not far from their path, Ray stood among the ruins.

His eyes tracked their movements the moment he noticed them.

He frowned.

"What are they doing?" he muttered.

The Demonic Sword pulsed faintly at his side before its voice echoed within his mind.

"I am not certain. But it is likely they intend to attack the entity together."

Ray’s gaze sharpened slightly as he watched Clyde’s lightning-covered figure moving through the buildings.

"Together, huh."

The sword continued. "You should consider joining them in the fight. Facing that entity alone would be bad."

There was a short pause. But then Ray’s lips slowly curled into a grin.

A familiar feeling of excitement stirred within him again.

The doubt from earlier didn’t disappear, but it combined with something else.

"Yeah," he muttered.

His grip tightened around the Demonic Sword as his eyes gleamed.

"Now that sounds more interesting."

The thrill returned. Without another word, Ray moved.
