Chapter 752. Letter To Malcolm
Mauve sat in bed with a grumpy look on her face. Now that she was confined to her room, outside was suddenly so much more interesting. However, she knew better than to venture outside her room, no need to anger Jael further.
A light knock drew her attention to the door, which opened to reveal Mill standing at the entrance. Mauve smiled at her. She had already seen Mill earlier, and they had already exchanged pleasantries.
"My lady," Mill said as she walked into the room. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes," Mauve said, tapping on her bed for Mill to join her.
The vampire looked skeptical but shrugged and walked to the bed. She sat down and said, "A servant said the Primus asked me to join you in your room." There was still a worried look on her face.
"Jael just wants you to keep an eye on me so I don’t leave the room. Don’t worry so much, I am not sick or anything like that," Mauve replied.
Mill instantly looked relieved. "I was worried that there were still some side effects from last night, or perhaps something I missed?"
Mauve shook her head. "There’s nothing you missed. I feel just fine," she grinned.
"That’s good to hear. And the baby?" Mill asked, her gaze lowering to Mauve’s stomach.
