Chapter 629. Twin Axes
"Quite the opposite. I do think someone is due for a beating," he glanced down. "If you’re fine with it, I guess there’s nothing holding me back." He took a step back from Mauve and cracked his knuckles.
Louis laughed, "I guess the fact that I broke your cheek and whooped your ass last time still burns?"
"Don’t you think your memory is a little twisted? We both know you’ve never won a fight against me. Enough talk, step in the ring."
Mauve looked from one person to the other. Jael looked mad, whereas Louis looked as though he was having fun. She was sure his cocky attitude was getting to Jael.
"Oh, we won’t be using our hands," Louis smirked. "We’ll be using axes."
"Are you sure that’s a good idea? I don’t want to cut off your head by mistake. I won’t miss you, but Kieran is your brother and he wouldn’t like you dead."
Louis laughed, "You couldn’t cut it off even if you tried. When was the last time you used an ax? Was it ten years ago? Do you even know how to swing it? Just so you know, I haven’t stopped," Louis responded.
"What were you doing with an ax? Chasing Palers? I highly doubt that you had the time while running around. Just because I don’t use axes doesn’t mean I’m no good at it. If you were around, you would know."
"You’re never going to let that go, are you?" Louis asked as they stared each other down.
Jael shrugged, "What can I say? I’m the type that holds grudges. This isn’t like last time. You’ve been getting on my nerves lately, so I might go a little crazy!"
"You just have a lot to say, don’t you? How about you show all that in the ring?" Louis smirked again, completely unbothered by Jael’s words.
