The Vampire King's Possession

Chapter 612. Not in Vain

"You think it would help in figuring out how I contracted it and how I recovered from it?" She asked him with an intense stare.

Mauve didn’t have any issues with Jean’s question. Yes, it was a sad time in her life, but if this could help, she would be more than happy to share information. The problem was that she doubted she could be of much help.

"Yeah, but not only that, I am hoping I will be able to figure out a cure from the information I have been able to pick up and watching you heal. But so far, all I have come up with is not useful."

"Oh, it would be wonderful if we could get a cure. I will help in any way I can. Unfortunately, I don’t have many memories of my mother, let alone her time with the disease."

"Don’t worry about that. I am sure any information you may have will go a long way. Can you remember how it affected her?" Jean asked.

"Not really. I remember the white patches, and I think she was mostly fine until we got to the castle. After then, she just deteriorated, and I think she was dead in only a few months."

"Nothing else you can remember?" Jean pestered.

Mauve shook her head, "I am sorry I can’t be of much help," she said.

"No, it is cruel of me to ask you something like this. It is expected that you don’t remember; this must have been a very traumatic period for you. However, I hate to make this request, but if you do recall anything, don’t hesitate to let me know."
