Chapter 561. Fragile Creatures
Mauve walked into the dining hall and she could immediately tell everyone knew. Just how fast did news travel around here?
Mauve sat down and she could tell every single eye was on her and not Jael. The vampires finally took their seats and a few conversations ensued.
The number of guests hadn’t changed and Mauve started to wonder if Jevera and her father had no plans to leave.
It wasn’t that they behaved a certain way to her but they surely made her a little uncomfortable. They were a constant reminder that Jael would have to get a mate.
She glanced in their direction and found Lord Levaton’s gaze on her. She winced and looked at her food immediately. She hoped they wouldn’t stay any longer than they had.
She tried to eat but for some reason, the food tasted a bit bland. She figured it was the after-effect of the fever and pushed through it.
She finished most of her meal, only leaving a little before giving up. However, she didn’t miss the look Jael threw in her direction. She half expected him to comment on it but he didn’t.
When the first meal ended, Jael wasted no time in leading her to his room. "You will spend the day here." He ordered.
"Here? I can’t spend all my hours here. I will be bored. There must be somewhere I can go to."
"I will keep you company," he said, leading her to the bed.
She turned around to look at him. "You plan to spend the entire day with me?" She asked and he nodded.
