Chapter 529. End of the Meeting
Jael sat with his back against the backrest of his seat as he stared at nothing in particular. He couldn’t say how long the meeting has been going on but if he were asked, he would say too long.
So far all they have talked about was old matters that he already solved. The Lords and dwelling in the past.
The only worthwhile topic that has been brought up was the incident that occurred in both Lord Drusile’s estate and Lady Francine’s.
They had tried to discuss how to prevent this from happening again. They had come up with good solutions.
Someone had requested having a lookout and making sure the members of their estate who couldn’t fight didn’t wander.
Someone had also suggested fortifying their fences. Walls won’t keep Palers out but it will certainly delay them.
Also at the first sign of trouble, do not engage. Drop everything and run for safety. This also brought up the topic of having a safe section members of their community could run to.
This topic had ended hours ago and right now they were going on and on about the drug. Jael wasn’t paying attention but by the looks of things Kieran was handling it well. He wanted to leave.
He stifled a yawn as his eyes roamed and it came to rest in Lord Levaton. The Lord was staring at him peculiarly before he looked away. Jael didn’t like that.
