Chapter 452. Her Request
Mauve laid on Jael’s chest, spent. Her back was hurting but it was more sore than painful. She knew she was flexible but she wasn’t that flexible.
To make matters worse, Jael had not been satisfied and they had gone once more. Her limbs felt like it didn’t belong to her. She knew she would have a hard time waking up at sunset.
She yawned, exhausted. She could tell that if she lay on his comfortable chest without saying a word, she would fall asleep within seconds.
"Go to sleep," Jael’s voice reached her ears. "I am sure you’re tired."
Mauve narrowed her eyes, he didn’t have to sound so smug. "I am not that tired."
This was a lie but proving him wrong wasn’t the only reason she had to stay awake. This would most likely be the only time she would be able to bring up the topic before sunset and by then it would be too late.
"Really? Doesn’t seem that way to me," he smirked down at her.
"I am stronger than you think," she replied.
"I know," he smiled at her. "I have seen firsthand how strong you can be." He wiggled his eyebrows at her and Mauve giggled.
She could tell he was in a good mood. Her stomach knotted a bit. Knowing Jael he would definitely react stiffly. She sighed. Why did she take on this job?
He wrapped his arm around her as he pulled her to himself. Mauve swallowed, it almost felt like a stone was going down her throat. How would she bring up the topic?
