Chapter 349. The Kids
"Shall we?" He asked, stretching his hand out and bending his head while his other hand was behind his waist.
He was dressed in riding clothes, his sword was strapped to his waist, sheathed. Mauve thought it was a huge sword. He wasn’t wearing any armor she could see.
His brow hair fell forward as he bent his head, it was relatively long about his shoulder length. For a second she had a flash of memory.
"Certainly," she said with a smile trying her best to mimic his enthusiasm but failing.
She placed her right hand in his open palm and he accepted it graciously. Before she could realize what he was doing, he placed a kiss on the back of her palm.
Mauve blushed as his warm lips touched her skin. He pulled away immediately, letting go of her hand. Her hand dropped to her side, feeling a bit heavy.
He walked past her and picked up the bag on the table. "After you," he said, gesturing to the open door.
Mauve nodded and with a stiff smile walked out the door with Galath closely behind her. As they got out of the room, he tossed the bag to unsuspecting Owen.
The poor boy had to struggle to catch the bag and prevent it from hitting the ground. He managed to do so but without staggering and almost falling on his face.
"Sir Galath," he cried as he hugged the bag to himself.
"A knight in training should always be ready for the unexpected," Galath responded without looking back.
