Chapter 345. Now Sir Galath
"Princess," a loud voice called. It echoed into the night and for a second everything went silent.
Mauve felt her eyes water, she quickly blinked it away as she turned in the direction of the voice. The voice wasn’t familiar but at least, someone was calling out to her. It gave her hope.
He came from the opposite direction, from the deeper cluster of houses, the path was dark so it was hard to see. Mauve squinted her eyes as she tried to him out in the dark.
He was holding a lamp but it was held down so there wasn’t enough light reflecting on his face.
"Finally," Erick’s voice echoed loudly in the night. "Someone decided to show up."
"I apologize," he said as he got closer. He sounded a bit out of breath. "However, I didn’t think you would get here tonight since it was already so late."
Mauve held in a snicker as he realized he was wearing mismatched shoes. That was definitely enough indication that he had rushed here.
"Have we met before?" Danag asked suddenly.
Mauve jerked her head to Danag and back to the stranger. Nothing about him was familiar but she couldn’t say so until she saw his face but his voice didn’t ring any bells.
"I believe so. We met at a town inn a couple of months ago. I am Galahad."
Galahad? Mauve’s eyes twinkled as her memory didn’t fail her. Though she couldn’t remember specific details about him, she could remember Galahad, the knight who helped her in the inn.
