Chapter 338. Better Luck

Mauve stared down at her feet. She was dressed in a pair of pants, some long sleeved shirt and a big ol’ boots.
She particularly liked the boots. She couldn’t guess what animal skin they were made from but it was very comfortable.
The clothes felt warm and a little silky against her body. She didn’t recognize the pants but at least they fit. To be honest she only cared about what she was wearing because it was going to be a long journey.
Her hair was tied back, out of her face, and in a bun. There were a few loose strands but none that bothered her. Mill had been afraid she would tie it too tight and Mauve would end up being uncomfortable the entire trip.
"I can’t believe you’re really leaving," Mill said, staring at her with her hands clasped together.
"I suppose I am," Mauve replied and returned her gaze to the clothes.
"Are they comfortable?"
Mauve lifted her head and smiled subtly, "Never wore anything better."
"I am glad. Your bags are packed and ready to go, Danag sent some guards to come pick them up before I even woke you up."
"Oh," she replied, looking to the corner of the room where her bags had been stacked. It was empty, she wondered why she didn’t notice it before now.
