Surviving a Harsh Fantasy with Cheat Items (WN)

Chapter 201: Character Introduction (End of Book Two)

Jerome Carlson, Head of the Carlson Family, 48 Years Old

Louise’s father.

A dignified and imposing middle-aged master, he wears simple black training attire and has a mane of red hair as he instructs his disciples.

When Louise committed a grave error and faced punishment, he was forced to disown her as a servant of the royal family. This incident strained their father-daughter relationship, but it began to mend long after Louise’s honor was restored. They likely had some kind of discussion to address their issues.

Although the official position of swordsmanship instructor for the Silesie royal family has become ceremonial due to the chaos following the coup, he is also a hereditary Silesie noble holding the rank of baron.

By the time Jerome was around Louise’s age, he was already married and had given birth to her, so he is starting to think about his daughter’s future and potential suitors.

He hopes to find a suitable husband for her to continue the Carlson family line, but it seems his daughter is resistant to the idea.

Former Pirate King, Admiral “Blackbeard” Drake , Fleet Admiral of Silesien Fleet, 57 Years Old

Once feared as the Pirate King, Drake united the pirates of the North Sea to form a formidable fleet. Known as Blackbeard, he was unmatched in the North Sea, never backing down from battles against the Britannian or Germania navies. However, his downfall came when he ventured into the Siren Sea and challenged Castilian colonies, suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Castilia’s Invincible Armada. In that naval combat, he lost his right eye, left hand, and right leg, resulting in a body that relies on prosthetics. Though he is still not yet sixty, his hair is streaked with gray, and his once-mighty black beard has also turned white, giving him the appearance of an old man. He now languishes in a dungeon in the capital of the Transylvania Principality, Brussel.

Drake has lost everything, but his remaining black eye still possesses the sharpness of his former self. Through the intervention of the Thief King Wake, he is drawn into assisting Takeru in the quest to defeat the Invincible Armada.

It’s worth noting that after being pardoned and released from prison, he sought treatment for his injured eye and limbs, but too much time had passed for any effective healing.

Instead, he was fitted with prosthetic limbs.

Philip Kayak, Captain of the Silesie Volunteer Corps Marine Division, 24 Years Old

Philip hails from the fishing village of Galley in Silesie, the third son of a fishing nets trader. He is a robust young man with sun-kissed, reddish-brown hair and a tanned, wheat-colored complexion.

Don Vargo Burgos Gastéin, Count of Burgos, Commander of the Seven Generals, 30 Years Old

Don Vargo was the foremost among the Seven Generals of Castilia, a high-ranking nobleman and an exceptional military leader. Unfortunately, he met his end in an instant against a formidable opponent. The details of the other generals have been omitted for brevity.

A striking figure, Don Vargo boasted a magnificent physique and donned a gleaming silver armor. He wielded one of the two legendary magical swords of Castilia, Tizona, specifically the sword of ice and snow.

He was a distant relative of El Cid Gastéin, the national hero of Castilia, known as the “Battlefield Warlord”. However, it seems he did not inherit the hero’s prowess, as his swordsmanship remained rather average. Had he not been slain in the Grace Bay, where Castilia’s army was notably few, he might have been able to forge a legendary tale in the battles against the Britanians.

It is worth mentioning that twenty-four knights serving the Gastéin family met a similar fate, having also been swiftly defeated.

Mearid Rivatania, Captain of the Pirate Stronghold, 27 Years Old

Mearid is skilled in disguise; when she first met Takeru, she was wrapped in rags, blending in as a servant girl. With slightly wavy black hair and striking blue eyes, she possesses a remarkably beautiful face. However, this beauty is marred by three prominent scars on each cheek—deep blue tattoos resembling claw marks. These tattoos are said to have been self-inflicted due to certain circumstances, but Mearid is reluctant to share the story behind them.

Having been exiled from her homeland and driven to the northernmost reaches, her path to becoming the leader of pirates has been fraught with twists of fate. She is willing to deceive and kill others without hesitation to protect the women and children who have been swept along with her, earning her a reputation as a villain.

Mearid harbors a deep-seated hatred for the royal and noble classes who oppress the common people.

Fiderico Kruna Cruz, Viscount and Fleet Admiral of the Invincible Armada, 35 Years Old

Fiderico serves as the fleet admiral of Castilia, directing the operation to conquer Britannia. He is an admiral with a background as an elite naval officer, having been promoted to his current position after the previous fleet commander was killed in battle.

Despite being new as the commander, he brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions. Although he is not particularly handsome, his appearance carries the dignity of a man of the sea, marked by the challenges he has faced; his once-rich blonde hair is now interspersed with gray.

Fiderico is known for his integrity and attention to detail, writing comprehensive reports that earn him the favor of King Ferdinand, known as the “Study King”. Amid his busy naval duties, he finds joy in coffee and sweet snacks.

With the strategist Revenant by his side, who favors unconventional tactics, Fiderico possesses the capability to leverage this power effectively. After determining the overall strategy, he respects his subordinates’ autonomy, demonstrating a deep understanding of command. He carries out practical operations to adjust the course of battle while maintaining a humble and low-key demeanor.

With ample experience that marks him as capable, Fiderico can be described as a balanced and competent admiral.

These three men share black hair, mustaches, and remarkably similar facial features. They consist of a tall, skinny one, a short and stout one, and a medium-sized individual who falls somewhere in between.

All three are relatives, having descended from a branch of the noble family that once ruled over the city of Castor. They now serve as minor lords along the coastline near the city and frequently act in unison due to their proximity.

While they may initially appear to be merely incompetent sycophants, their close relationship with Sarah-chan suggests they possess some valuable traits or skills that make them useful in certain situations.

New Germania Empire: New Emperor Gillan Ran

Originally a slave, Gillan Ran was elevated due to his background as a member of the Rastore clan and served as the right-hand man to Dyson. He also held the position of governor in the imperial capital of Northmark.

After Dyson’s death, Gillan gathered the remnants of his forces and proclaimed himself the new emperor while managing the situation in Dyson’s absence. His ability to maintain the stability of Northmark without allowing the New Germania Empire, which heavily relied on Dyson’s charisma, to collapse is commendable, showcasing both his ambition and talent as a capable leader.

Gillan displayed remarkable resolve by continuing to lead his forces into battle during the war. However, like many other warlords, his fate ended tragically when he was ultimately slain by the princess knight Eleonora.

As the child of a human king and a demon queen, Orakeru is expected to rise as the demon king leading the dwindling demon race on the Eura continent, fervently nurtured by the genius sorceress Kaara. As the firstborn of the Silesien royal family, he carries a heavy burden from birth.
