Lin Lijun became even more sentimental. "Her house was right in front of mine, how could I act like I didn’t see her when I did? I couldn’t do such a thing. Also, there were the odd jobs she would get me to do, like making honeycomb briquettes, or lifting and carrying things! My mother also talked about your brother, calling him the trickiest; whenever there were physically demanding jobs at home, he was sure not to be around!"
This was a fact. "So, my mother was really fond of you, and for a while, she wasn’t used to not finding you for work. I try to do it as much as possible, and try not to bother you. But when I’m not home, she still ended up troubling you!"
"Ah, what’s the trouble? these are the things I should do for an elderly person!" Lin Lijun sighed again. "Just, fate is too unpredictable; her health was so good, yet she passed away so unexpectedly early!"
