Chapter 218 - 211: Buddhas Join Forces to Refine the Great Seal
Wukong first used words to shake Kong Xuan’s spiritual heart, then transformed into Victorious Fighting Buddha to elucidate the true essence of the Buddhist family, and now Kong Xuan was enlightened, became a Buddha on the spot, and sought the true Buddhist Dao!
Just when Victorious Fighting Buddha asked, "Do you understand what the true Buddha is?" these words, Ksitigarbha King was startled and made his way to the cave abode. Stepping inside, he witnessed the scene.
Kong Xuan’s magnificent aura shone as he said, "I have understood. This is the true Buddhist Dao. The others are merely false Buddhists."
Ksitigarbha King, with his hands joined, slowly walked in and said, "Congratulations to Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva for becoming a Buddha on the spot and instantly realizing the Buddhist Dao."
Kong Xuan, with his hands joined, said, "Kong Xuan pays respects to Ksitigarbha King Bodhisattva."
Although the status of a Buddha is higher than that of a Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha King was already renowned. It was rumored that his mana was not inferior to that of Tathagata. However, because he had vowed not to leave Hell empty and not return to the Western Heavenly Buddha Land to become a Buddha Ancestor, he had not yet become a fully realized Buddha. Nonetheless, Ksitigarbha King Bodhisattva had many followers, and scriptures he authored, such as "Ksitigarbha Sutra," were widely read by many.
Ksitigarbha King nodded slightly and said, "The Five Elements Buddha is too polite."
Upon becoming a Buddha, Kong Xuan named himself after the Five Elements because he was adept at using the Five-Colored Divine Light, which was refined from the Innate Five Elements Spirit Root. Hence, he was called the Five Elements Buddha.
Kong Xuan asked Ksitigarbha King, "Ksitigarbha King Bodhisattva has realized the Buddhist Dao, why not become a Buddha?"
Ksitigarbha King laughed and said, "Even if I became a Buddha now, what use would it be? The Western Heavenly Buddha Land is still occupied by a group of false Buddhas. After Victorious Fighting Buddha leads us to ascend to Western Heaven and eliminate the false Buddhists, it will not be too late to become a Buddha. Becoming a Buddha now would be meaningless."
Kong Xuan nodded and said, "Bodhisattva’s words make sense."
