Chapter 114: The Demon Tribe Comes to the Rescue and Escapes
Nezha arrived at the battlefield to see several of his comrades embroiled in a difficult fight, and he couldn’t help feeling a surge of urgency. He then cast his golden brick toward the heart of the Moon Palace Empress. Striking her directly in the back, the blow broke her bones and snapped her tendons, causing her to spew fresh blood and tumble to the ground. Seizing the opportunity, Nezha danced with the Heaven-and-Earth Silk Ribbon, entangling the Moon Palace Empress, and with another offering of the Qiankun Ring, he hit the Niwan Palace! In an instant, he had slain the sneak-attacking deity. The surprise assault proved highly effective, immediately killing one of the celestial beings.
"Brother Monkey, don’t worry, I’m coming to save you!" Having said that, he exhibited his Three Heads Six Arms technique, holding in each hand the Demon-Slaying Saber, the Demon-slaying Sword, the Fire Spear, Heaven-and-Earth Silk Ribbon, and Qiankun Ring, while riding on the Wind-Fire Wheels into the midst of the battle fray.
The admirable Nezha truly displayed his power! And how could one see this? A poem is witness, the poem says: "The Exotic Treasure Spirit Pearl fell to dust; within Chen Tang Pass, the true god was unshackled. The golden brick swept all unimpeded, the Qiankun Ring matched with Heaven-and-Earth Silk Ribbon. Atop his head, a golden glittering headband shines, in hand he wields the Fire Spear, one of a kind. The lotus transformation renders his body indestructible, the eight-armed Nezha is heard of everywhere one turns!"
With Nezha’s assistance, Sun Wukong instantly felt the pressure on him lessen, and the fight became much easier.
Piercing towards the chest of the deity of Great Merit with the technique "Immortal Points the Way," the deity had no choice but to retreat. This retreat opened up a path for escape.
Sun Wukong leaped out of the fray, preparing to use his Escape Technique to flee. However, suddenly eighteen beams of golden light descended from the sky, and thirty-six arms stretched down like dragons, simultaneously aimed at Sun Wukong’s chest!
"Eighteen Arhats’ Golden Bodies!" Upon seeing the arms shining with golden light, Sun Wukong guessed their origin and immediately somersaulted, countering with a strike of his staff.
