Chapter 16 Change_1
She really doubted whether this rusted furnace could actually produce any medicine. Although its name was mighty, its appearance was simply too hard to accept.
She placed both hands on the medicine furnace and, following the instructions that surfaced in her mind, began the process of refining elixirs. She continuously poured the small amount of Spiritual Energy she had cultivated over the past two days into the furnace.
Gradually, sweat beaded increasingly on her forehead, yet the Purple Furnace only grew slightly warm. Over time, however, the temperature of the Purple Furnace began to rise steadily.
Just as she felt a surge of happiness, BANG! The lid of the furnace flew off. The herbs inside turned into a pile of black char, scattering wildly and smearing her face.
Failure. Insufficient Spiritual Energy, insufficient amount of herbs.
Several large characters appeared in her mind.
Alas, it looks like I’ll have to diligently cultivate my Spiritual Energy to refine medicine, she thought. Fortunately, time in this space passes much faster than outside, so I have plenty of time to practice the Medicine King Canon’s techniques and increase my Spiritual Energy. One day here is just a few hours outside; that gives me more than enough time to study and cultivate.
She couldn’t help but touch her face to wipe away the sweat. Damn it! I refuse to believe I can’t even refine medicine! To hell with this!
