Aurora’s desperation quickly turned to frustration. "What other way? He has Leo! He’ll hurt him!"
Her voice cracked, and for a moment, she looked like she might fall apart right there.
Gabriel stepped forward, his voice calm and steady, providing a much-needed strength. "The police are working on tracing the call. We’ll find Leo, Mrs. Aurora."
Lucas’s jaw clenched, his face a mask of determination. "We’ll get Leo back, Aurora. And we’ll make sure your father pays for what he’s done."
Aurora seemed ready to argue again, her fists trembling at her sides.
