Chapter 61: Rossi
Upon hearing the name "Rossi," Aurora hissed softly, memories flashing through her mind—Nora and Madam Rossi confronting her in the hotel, accusing her of sharing beds with wealthy men.
The bitterness from that day lingered, but Aurora had learned to shrug off their spiteful remarks.
She sat back on the bed, her body relaxing into the soft covers as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
Ava, still standing in the middle of the room, was stunned by Aurora’s calm demeanor.
Aurora waved a hand dismissively at her.
"Forget about it," she said, her voice casual. "Anything involving Madam Rossi and Nora Rossi is nothing to worry about. They only try to peck at me, annoy me. That’s all."
Ava shook her head, stepping closer. "No, ma’am, it’s different from what you think it is. It’s an emergency message from Nana Rossi."
Aurora’s face immediately changed.
The name "Nana Rossi" held more weight than any petty confrontation with Madam Rossi or Nora.
Her gaze sharpened, and she turned her full attention to Ava.
For a brief moment, Aurora fought the urge to react too quickly, recalling the doctor’s advice about managing stress for the sake of her pregnancy.
