The Qilin Army set out from the capital city of Central State, following the water to the eighteen states of Jiangnan. This journey was supposed to be swift and effortless, due to the current flowing in their favor, but it became slowed because they were constantly fighting battles, and because the actions of Li Guanyi were being widely spread.

Along the way, many people came to join their cause. The previously prepared ships couldn’t accommodate them all, let alone the continuous stream of ordinary folks who kept coming, significantly slowing the Qilin Army’s pace.

When Li Guanyi left the Academy, most of the disciples from the Mo School’s lineage followed him, which allowed them to gather materials on site to construct new, simple mechanical ships and to purchase various-sized vessels.

So, as soon as they left the land of Central State, their numbers had already significantly swelled. On the water route, leading the way was the Mo Family’s giant mechanical ship, with the Qilin Army’s banner raised on the deck.

Following behind were Mo Family Mechanical Ships, then ordinary commercial vessels, even fishing boats and barge ships, all carrying civilians on board.

This brought another issue—different ships moved at different speeds. Mechanical ships moved by mechanisms, yet commercial ships relied on the wind, and those single-sail fishing boats were driven by sheer manpower.

On the fishing boat, the fisherman put down the fishing rod, took off his bamboo hat, and stood up at the place where water met sky. A broad-shouldered man with slightly gray hair appeared, still vigorous and sturdy, while coincidentally, the wind rose, creating waves.
