After a month of sending Alys to the Mage’s Tower, I received a letter from her. She was finally being dispatched to the lair.
Silas had got her in and it wasn’t only because of my word but also because of her own potential.

The news from the battlefield was steady and as expected Rune and Eric were holding up well. And apart from my boys I also got intel on how Davian was doing. He seemed to be doing better than Eric and Rune in cases of battle. His aura power was starting to become famous and having its own ballads.
I was impressed when I heard that he and his army defeated the army thrice their size because of his leadership. He was starting to grow to his full potential with time, Grand Duke and Grand Duchess might be very proud of their son.
Carlos, on the other hand was doing just as I had expected. He would rarely show up for any physical battle and most of his battles would be led by the Captain of the Royal Knights who was sent to be his escort and bodyguard.
I had burned the fake record that was being sent to the masses about how Prince Carlos was single handedly leading the Royal Knights and have the real report through my newspapers.
I felt the slight peck over my finger and I saw Nox who was pecking at my fingers from where he stood on the desk. He had grown a bit bigger in the past one month, his feathers were more pronounced and his beak was also a tad bit bigger.
I brushed my fingers against his head and jaw making it lean into my touch. He was also starting to absorb more of my mana energy.
In this past month I hadn’t received any task so, I was doing my own work of spreading the influence of Prince Eric throughout the kingdom. But what I wasn’t expecting was Davian’s praises that were being sung all over already.
I was glad that my newspapers were supporting the truth but I guess the future Grand Duke was gaining more popularity that my chosen male lead for this game.
