Chapter 240 - 239. Goddess Enters The Temple (1)
The Temple agreed to my terms and also announced that the Goddess of Life would be entering the Temple. They had done a good advertisement by announcing me and accepting me with the title. They also were marketing my worth well to the public.
The town was decorated in record time and within a week the people were once again on the streets and crowding near the Temple to catch a glimpse of the rumoured Goddess of Life. Even the royal family was going to be present to receive the blessings from the Goddess, except for the Crown Prince who was on the battlefield.
It was a huge occasion so, I had to be prepared appropriately. The Temple had allowed me to stay at Asher’s place till I was to be taken to the Temple while Asher himself was at the Temple. They didn’t trust him.
I wore the white robes with the golden embroidery on it as well as the silver pendant with the Temple’s crest and adjusted my hair well. I looked quite good in the Priestess’s attire. It was almost ironic that I was seeing myself in that look.
"It feels like the Devil is dressed as a Priest." I chuckled.
