The Kingmaker System

Chapter 209 - 208. Crest Of A Boulder (2)

In this world, I had assumed I was the only Healing mage but, I guess that wasn’t the case. I was just not well informed in the past.

But then again, it’s not like any Healing mage would be able to compete with the Dragon who had the Supreme Healing and Purification power.

I woke up at some time when it was dark and sat up feeling refreshed despite sleeping on a hard bed. I stretched my arms above my head and saw Lyall sitting in one corner of the tent from where he could see me and the entrance of the tent at the same time. He had dozed off but I knew he would attack if he sensed anything.

I carefully got down from the bed making sure to not make any sound to wake him and then made my way towards the entrance of the cave.

There was the sound of music and people chatting, it seemed like they were celebrating the recovery of all the people. I stood near the flaps for a few seconds before I went back to the bed and sat down pulling out the communication device from the small bag that I had carried with me.

Somehow all of our luggage was transferred to the tent, it would be good if they hadn’t gone through our stuff there were a lot of valuable things in here.

I quietly tiptoed out of the tent from the back flap making sure not to wake Lyall, it was pitch black if not for my Dragon’s senses and the stars and the crescent moon which had cast a silver glow over the mountains around me. There was a faint sound of a river streaming somewhere near by and I wondered if I could get a good bath, I hadn’t had a decent bath in days.

I stopped at a little distance and brushed my finger over the smooth crystal which glowed softly and I spoke up.

"Uncle?"

"..."

I sighed, maybe he was asleep, Silas had ordered me to contact him as soon as I reached Denril but it was already past a week that I had crossed the border and started my work.
