Chapter 178 - 177. Devil’s Proxy (3)
I surveyed the areas around Shadowcliff and posted a few of my assassins to keep an eye on the activities going on around.
I had all the reports delivered to the guest house that Lord Devil had arranged for me to work at since the time I was looking after Shadowcliff.
He was currently detained in the dungeons and the trial was a week later, so, I had to look after this city for around one more week and then he would come back to his place.
As of the evidence that I would have to gather to prove his innocence, I had dispatched a new pawn but I guess I would have to wait until he made his decision.
There was a knock on the door which turned my attention and I called the person in.
Gabel Delacroz entered the study with a bundle of papers in his hands, his sandy blonde hair was swept back and his murky turquoise eyes gazed at me from behind his monocle. He was the aide of Lord Devil and looked after the administrative work of Shadowcliff.
He was staying by my side as an aide in absence of Lord Devil. But I knew it was for two reasons, one was because he wanted to make sure that I didn’t do anything troublesome in absence of the real Boss and second, because that Boss himself had asked Gabel to stay by my side and help me as much as possible.
"Lord Dragon, here are the reports that you asked for," Gabel said as he placed down the bundle of papers.
I looked at the reports of the usage of the Magic Gate and made a note of the people whom I found suspicious.
Gabel hovered beside me as he looked at the names I was writing down.
"Are these possible suspects?" He asked.
