Chapter 79 - 78. Gaining Trust (1)
We rented a room in the inn which wasn’t as luxurious but it was a recommended inn by Hael.
And I could see why he had recommended this particular inn. First of all, it was quite close to the outskirts of the capital yet, it was in the market place and second, this place was frequented by all kinds of people. "Master, it’s time." Lyall announced as I was staring out at the clear starry sky which had a half moon shining the night.
Lyall and I walked down the stairs and went straight to the mess hall where we saw Hael waiting for us with the one whose shoulder I dislocated the other day. I walked over to him as he also stood at a distance from his superior. He flinched as I stood beside him but didn’t step away.
"Are you the only ones here? I thought we were talking to your Leader?" Lyall asked.
"What about you? I don’t see your great Master anywhere." Hael retorted.
"If it’s going to be this way then, I guess you don’t want to coordinate with us."
Lyall stood up and Hael placed down a slip of paper on the table.
"This is the message from our Leader for your Master. Our Leader can’t show up in public unless there’s a solid reason to, I can understand that you revere your Master a lot but that’s also the same with us." Hael said and I gestured for Lyall to sit down.
Lyall sat back down and looked at the slip without touching it.
"What’s this about?"
