After Eric left my room, I released a deep breath and looked at the large mirror in the room, after one long look at my reflection I pushed my hair back revealing the blue stone earring that was studded in my right earlobe.
Silas was a genius for creating such an amazing device that helped me disguise myself without having to go through unnecessary trouble. The device was specialised only for me as I had told Silas about my plan and he had created an image that would befit my name.
I gently removed the stud and the reflection in the mirror changed as my body reverted to its original form with my long white hair tumbling down my waist and my form shrinking to its ten-year-old look.
"I’ll need to leave soon," I mumbled as I walked over and changed my clothes.
After changing into comfortable clothes I lay down on my bed and fell asleep before I knew it.
It had been a long time since I had been looking for a skilled fighter to stand by my side as my knight when I was in this form. An assassin was my best choice as they wouldn’t hesitate when I ordered them to kill and wouldn’t stress themselves over needless chivalry.
Besides, the impact of the Baron who became the owner of the Magic Stone mine was just as I had expected on the people.
The Baron who went by a name just as strange as himself, a person whom nobody had seen or heard from. The person who only roamed in shadows and appeared to those who had fate on their side.
A person who appeared out of nowhere with the identity of a merchant from the far East in the kingdom bought land, found a mine with Magic Stones, made a deal with Mage’s Tower and even established a town. He had wealth and status yet, he never showed his face at any event or paid any heed to the order of precedence.
I had successfully created a person who would become the powerhouse that could place the crown on the head of whoever he wanted.
Yet, I was weak. I still had to grow stronger and make sure that nobody touched me or my people.
