During this time, Xinan had essentially become an idle person, with nothing to do, because Cheng Yi no longer let her go out to work. He had delegated the company’s affairs to Ding Lan, so her days consisted of nothing but eating and sleeping.
Less than a week after confirming her pregnancy, Xinan had already begun to experience morning sickness, which became increasingly severe as time went on. Every day, eating just a little would make her feel like vomiting her guts out.
Cheng Yi watched with great distress, trying every method to coax Xinan into happiness.

Cheng Yi also woke up and quickly followed her to the bathroom, then squatted beside her, gently patting her back, "My poor baby, you’re going through so much."

Xinan smiled, her eyes brimming with tenderness, "No matter how hard it is, I think it’s worth it."
Just the thought of meeting their little one in a few months made her feel that any hardship was worthwhile.
