Chapter 154: The Proposal
Xinan followed the woman’s steps forward, then stopped in front of the elevator. Despite feeling some doubts, she still stepped inside.
The woman pressed the button for the top floor, and the elevator rose quickly, coming to a stop in less than a few dozen seconds.
"Miss Xinan, this way," the woman pointed in a direction.
Xinan nodded and followed.
It wasn’t until she reached the end and saw the light outside that Xinan realized she was on the rooftop of a mall.
For some reason, as she walked forward, Xinan’s heartbeat grew more intense, as if countless little hands were scratching at her chest.
Upon seeing the scene before her, Xinan was stunned. Her beating heart skipped a beat, then she covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes brimming with surprise and disbelief.
There was a path made of pink roses on the ground, and with each step Xinan took forward, someone presented her with a red rose.
These people were Xinan’s high school classmates, her relatives, and friends—once the closest people to her.
Finally, Xinan saw some familiar faces.
