A thunderous stomp from the GyroShark sent shockwaves through the battlefield, shaking the earth and launching torrents of water in all directions. The surging waves crashed into Cryo’s mech, momentarily distorting his vision. Amidst the chaos, a barrage of high-speed water projectiles pierced through his defense perimeter, slipping past his icy fortifications—and struck Patrix.
Patrix’s mecha, built for brute strength, absorbed the impact, but the assault left him momentarily staggered—just enough for the GyroShark to seize its opening. With a deafening chomp, its reinforced metallic jaws clamped down on the mech’s shoulder, ripping away a massive chunk of armor before hurling Patrix through the air like a discarded ragdoll.
With its prey disabled, the beast immediately locked onto Cryo, its piercing gaze fixating on the now-exposed artillery-class mech. It lunged. The ocean itself seemed to roar in its wake, a monstrous force bearing down on Cryo with unstoppable ferocity.
Cryo’s systems screamed warnings. He had nowhere to run. His mech—designed for long-range engagements—was utterly unsuited for close combat. Desperation took hold. Instinctively, he conjured a massive ice wall, a last-ditch effort to slow the incoming catastrophe.
It wasn’t enough.
The GyroShark shattered through the barrier like glass, the fragments scattering in all directions. Cryo’s mech curled in on itself, bracing for impact— but the fatal blow never came.
