Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 157: Charlotte’s Opinion

"Mr. Dave, why did you say getting our Alpha an arranged wife is a bad idea?" The elder asked, getting impatient.

"Just you know, they don’t feel the bond, your pain, or struggles. All they are concerned about is being a good wife and Luna, they never try to understand you." Dave said, explaining what he meant. If Sarah had been able to feel Damien’s pain, she wouldn’t have tried to kill Aurora, knowing how well he cherished her.

One’s mate should always consider one’s feelings, that is the norm.

"We have cases where mates betray each other. Not everyone with a mate is happy, like you said, it’s all about being a good wife and Luna. Why not? If she is troublesome and temperamental, why does it matter if she is a mate? But if she is understanding and responsible, wouldn’t it benefit Alpha?" The old man said, conquering Dave’s words. Unfortunately, Dave had never been good with arguments, he was only good with a wayward lifestyle.

"I give up, this is why I allow the wise ones to do the politics," Dave said and directed his gaze at Charlotte, sighing in relief when she was no longer looking at him disdainfully. It was a look of worry mixed with fear, he couldn’t explain it, but he was grateful that it wasn’t a look of disdain anymore.

"You said Alpha Damien has found his mate, when did it happen?" Curious, he asked.

That was the only information Alpha Nureo grabbed from all that Dave said.

"Oh, that was like a month ago? Or was it two? He would introduce her to everyone at the coming banquet," Dave relayed.

"What an irony, that nuthead turns out to be blessed with a mate?" The particular, average-looking guy spoke, picking up a glass of water to drink.
