Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 112: A witness

"You heard me, Jerk!" Scarlet cursed, expressing her irritation by hissing and rolling her eyes. It was unbelievable that he was feigning ignorance, despite being the all-knowing Alpha he claimed to be.

Even if he claimed to be busy, Enoch was there to oversee the mansion’s well-being. There was no excuse, he was undoubtedly lying. Unless, the perpetrators were wiser than their Alpha, which he would be too arrogant to acknowledge. Whatever the case could be, Scarlet wasn’t fully convinced that Damien didn’t know, or suspect something wrong was going on in the mansion.

"Scarlet, I need a full account of what’s happening. Who imprisoned Aurora? When did this happen? Is she alive?" He inquired, his fists clenched, imagining Aurora’s current state. He had sensed something amiss all along, uncertain if it was mere hunch or a genuine feeling.

For now, the only plausible explanation was that Aurora was his mate. How this connection existed remained unclear, but he vowed to find out upon his return to the mansion.

"How should I know? I found a bloodied paper while cleaning this morning, and it turned out to be a letter from Aurora. All I know is she’s in danger," Scarlet, realizing Damien’s genuine unawareness, maintained calmness for her friend’s sake. The priority was rescuing Aurora, the rest could wait. Moreover, Aurora wouldn’t want her arguing with Damien if she was present.

"Shit! I need you to do me a favor, secretly enter the courtroom and do not hang up the call. I want to know what’s going on," he ordered, annoying her, but she had no choice but to comply. She didn’t like being ordered around, especially by someone like Damien. She despised the idea of doing him a favor but as long as it wasn’t a favor beneficial to him, she could endure doing it.

She just hoped he was here in time to save Aurora. She didn’t want to imagine the atrocities they must have committed just to get rid of her.

’I will make sure you all pay for this,’ inwardly she thought.

"Okay," she replied and started making her way to the courtroom.

Damien mindlinked Enoch, thankfully he was not far from his office.

’Aurora is in danger, prepare a helicopter for flight. I need to leave now!’ As he said those words, he was already leaving his office.
