Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night

Chapter 106: Telling Enoch lies

"Yes, I thought of the idea of visiting you to help locate Aurora," she remarked.

"This is a significant matter. Are you certain she’s not somewhere within the mansion?" Theresa inquired, rising from the couch.

"No, she isn’t. Aurora doesn’t usually hide or cause others to worry. It’s been days, and I am starting to suspect that something’s amiss," Scarlet said with a tone that suggested she might know more than she was letting on.

"What do you know?" Theresa asked, retaking her seat, her eyes fixed on Scarlet’s, as if urging her to reveal the truth.

"I overheard the maids talking about catching a thief in the mansion. Their description made me think of Aurora. Theresa, who was the thief they caught?" Scarlet inquired, her expression serious, putting Theresa on the spot.

"It was just one of the maids... What was her name again? Don’t worry, it’s not Aurora," Theresa replied, though it was a lie. She silently prayed for forgiveness, convinced that lying was justified in this situation. She felt a pang of self-disgust for being untruthful.

"Good, but I am still concerned," Scarlet believed the lie, fortunately. Theresa wasn’t sure if she could have continued the deception if Scarlet had seen through it. And where was her maid? They needed to act quickly to help Aurora.

"How about this? You ask around the pack if anyone has seen Aurora, and I will have some guards investigate the mansion. Together, we will find her in time," Theresa suggested, her heart racing.

"Alright, I will do as you say," Scarlet agreed as she prepared to take action. Then, something crossed her mind, and she turned back to Theresa.

"Actually, Aurora had been planning to escape from the mansion to return to her pack for revenge. I am not entirely sure, but she might have taken advantage of the Alpha’s absence to flee," she disclosed, even though she wasn’t supposed to reveal this secret.

"Revenge? Why? When did she start planning this?" Theresa’s curiosity was piqued, and her body tensed. Aurora was planning revenge, but what had driven her to this extreme? What terrible experiences had she gone through to make her contemplate revenge?
