Chapter 98: Confession
"What? No!" Aurora resisted fiercely when the guards suddenly seized her arm with great force.
"You have no authority to do this, release me," she warned, facing Sarah. She had enough concerns to occupy her mind and couldn’t afford to remain in the dungeon or risk torture.
"Huh, I believe we are overlooking something here. I am the future Luna of this pack, set to be officially crowned in just two weeks." Her excitement was palpable when she learned of the Alpha’s order to hasten their marriage.
She was so overjoyed that she couldn’t contain her happiness and somehow ended up outside Dave’s room while wandering around. And, at last, she had something on Aurora that could drive her out of the mansion forever. Everything was falling into place, and she was the happiest woman on Earth.
"I acknowledge that, but you shouldn’t abuse your power," Aurora advised, although she knew it was futile.
"You don’t dictate my actions. Speaking of which, why was our marriage rushed? Has your love potion finally worn off? Is that why you plan to use it on his brother after failing to win over the Alpha? I knew you were a cunning woman," Sarah bombarded Aurora with numerous accusatory questions, leaving her head spinning in confusion.
"I never used a love potion on the Alpha, and I have no plans to do so," she retorted.
"Tsk tsk, then explain why he’s suddenly eager to get married when he brought you in to stop the marriage?" Sarah demanded answers.
"I... I don’t know," Aurora couldn’t disclose the contract or why Damien had suddenly requested the annulment of their contract. She had no answer for Sarah’s questions.
"Exactly, sly bitch. Lock her up for three days and conduct an investigation afterward," Sarah ordered the guards and turned to leave.
"You can’t do this, aren’t you afraid of the consequences?" Aurora didn’t give up and continued to struggle in the guards’ grasp.
