Chapter 39: Mateless wolf
"What? Damien’s mother? I only just found out that Damien is her son. Would it be appropriate to ask her for help?" Aurora was hesitant about seeking help from the Alpha’s mother. She couldn’t believe that the bold woman who often set him up with other women was actually his mother.
Besides, only Scarlet and Damien knew about her being his breeder. If they told his mother, she might not accept Aurora and cause trouble for Damien. She was afraid of the potential consequences.
"Who cares? She likes me, so she will help you," Scarlet assured, but Aurora remained unconvinced.
"It’s only you and Damien who know about me being his breeder. We can’t tell her, she might not accept me, and it could cause trouble for Damien," Aurora reasoned, and Scarlet fell silent for a moment as she understood the issue.
But then a spark of an idea came into Scarlet’s eyes, "Who said anything about telling her? She doesn’t need to know who you are getting lessons for," she confidently proposed, making Aurora worry even more. She feared that whenever they made a plan, it tended to backfire, and this idea didn’t sound good.
Seeing Aurora’s reluctance, Scarlet placed her hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. "Relax and trust me. You want to get this over with quickly, right?" She asked, and Aurora nodded.
"Then calm down. But I have a condition for helping you with this plan," Scarlet said, requesting a favor.
"What is it?" Aurora asked.
"Don’t fall in love with Damien, no matter what. Promise me!" Scarlet raised her hand for a pinky promise, urging Aurora to do the same.
