Chapter 1767 - 1757: Enna Clark’s Countermeasure
Enna Clark disliked making others uncomfortable because of her own matters.
She was silent for a moment, and the fluctuation in her emotions since entering the Human Resources Department had unexpectedly calmed down. Under the gaze of two pairs of eyes, she relented, "I understand. I’ll come back next week."
The Human Resources Manager let out a long breath in relief internally, and the well-disguised tension on his face eased. Afraid of being exposed, he quickly returned the resignation report to her, saying happily, "Alright, next week Ms. Clark, just come directly to me. As soon as you complete the procedure, I’ll handle it for you immediately."
After speaking, he stood up and grabbed the scattered files on the desk, hurriedly saying, "I have to attend a meeting now; I’m running late. Ms. Clark, Assistant Terrence, I’ll take my leave first."
"Alright, go ahead." After taking care of a major issue, Assistant Terrence also felt significantly relieved, as though the sword hanging around his neck had vanished. He cheerfully said to the Human Resources Manager.
The Human Resources Manager indeed seemed very busy, and hurriedly left.
The office was now left with just the two of them.
Enna Clark looked down at the resignation report in her hand, her mind in a state of turmoil.
What should she do now?
Go back to the President’s office?
She hadn’t made up her mind yet when Assistant Terrence was already urging her, "Ms. Clark, let’s go upstairs. I just wanted to ask you for a visitor record for President Lawrence from before. I need it for some statistics."
He was blatantly making things up.
As the President’s Special Assistant, there was no way he’d waste time on visitor records.
