Chapter 1428 - Chapter 1428 Chapter 1428 Arrived at the Hotel
Chapter 1428: Chapter 1428: Arrived at the Hotel Chapter 1428: Chapter 1428: Arrived at the Hotel “Ms. Clark, long time no see.”
“Long time no see. How have you been recently?” Enna Clark asked politely and gently.
The Housekeeper’s eyes softened a bit, and he smiled with pursed lips, “I’ve been very well, thank you for your concern, Ms. Clark.”
Not wasting any time, he made a gesture of invitation, “Old Lord has been waiting inside for a long time, Ms. Clark, please follow me.”
“Alright.”
The Crowne Plaza Hotel itself is under the Lawrence Family’s ownership. Although Old Master Lawrence didn’t want others to know his whereabouts, the hotel staff were still aware that someone important had checked in.
When they saw the Housekeeper leading Enna inside, they couldn’t help but take a few extra looks.
The Housekeeper didn’t rush to take her to Old Master Lawrence, but first to the hotel’s kitchen.
The hotel’s kitchen was the standard modern five-star kitchen–spacious, tidy, and bright.
A line of chefs had already been waiting there.
As she entered, the Head Chef led a few chefs in saying, “The Housekeeper has told us you’d like to use the kitchen. We’ve already cleaned the utensils for you. If there’s anything you’d like us to assist you with, please feel free to instruct.”
All she was making was Tomato and Egg Noodles, which certainly didn’t require such grand preparations. Enna Clark replied awkwardly, “I… don’t really need any help.”
Suddenly, as if remembering something, she politely asked the Head Chef, “Oh, could you please show me how to turn on the stove?”
This certainly wasn’t because she was inept, but rather because the hotel kitchen was completely different from the one at home.
At home, you simply ignite the burner, but because of the many dishes prepared in a hotel and the high demands for heat control, the hotel stoves are specially made with various buttons to adjust the heat. If someone unfamiliar with them were to try it, they could easily set the kitchen on fire.
The Head Chef also realized this and apologized awkwardly, “I’ve been too careless and forgot about that. Please wait a moment, I’ll light the stove for you.”
“Thank you.”
After the Head Chef lit the stove, Enna Clark asked, “I also need a Concave Bottom Pot. And could you also tell me where the oil and other things are kept?”
“Certainly,” replied the Head Chef. After finding a suitable pot and placing it on the burner, he showed Enna where the oil and seasonings were kept.
Once Enna Clark had figured out what she needed, she didn’t ask for any more assistance. She rolled up her sleeves naturally, washed her hands, and began to chop tomatoes and other ingredients.
The pot quickly heated up, and she put aside the half-chopped tomatoes, then poured oil into the pot. She cracked two eggs, mixed them well, added a pinch of salt, and continued to mix.
