Chapter 1337 - Chapter 1337 Chapter 1337 A Simple and Crude Solution
Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337: A Simple and Crude Solution Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337: A Simple and Crude Solution As it approached 9 o’clock, everyone chatting or exchanging greetings in the pantry returned to their desks, ready to start work.
After Enna Clark walked out of the Director’s Office, she ignored the subtle glances from those around her and headed straight to Luna’s desk.
Luna, caught off guard by her sudden approach, panicked momentarily before regaining her composure with a frown, swiveled her chair around with an impatient tone, “What do you want?”
Enna’s usually gentle jaw tightened fiercely as she, without a word, raised her hand and slapped the arrogant woman across the face–
“Smack!” A crisp slap echoed throughout the Planning Department.
All eyes instantly turned in their direction.
Luna felt a sudden pain on her left cheek, she instinctively covered her face with her hand, as if in disbelief, stared at the petite woman in front of her, her face flushed red with anger, “You dared to hit me?!”
Enna Clark showed her the answer with action, her backhand was another slap, landing cleanly on Luna’s face.
“Smack”!
Luna’s head jerked to one side again as she abruptly stood up, roaring in rage, “What the hell are you doing!”
Enna wasn’t the least bit afraid of her as she looked coldly into her eyes and spoke indifferently, “Just to bring you to your senses.”
She was done reasoning with Luna. Since Luna spread such rumors, she wasn’t one to reason with. Reasoning with someone who doesn’t listen is like playing the lute to a cow. Sometimes, Baron Lawrence’s straightforward and brute method of handling things wasn’t bad at all. At the very least, it quickly relieved anger and let others see that she wasn’t one to stay silent.
“Feeling awake now?”
Luna clenched her fists, glaring at her venomously, as if she was holding back the urge to strike, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Then let me make it clearer for you, so you’ll understand!” Enna glared at her with simple brutality, “The person who said I have an improper relationship with the Head of HR, that’s you, isn’t it?”
Prepared as she was, Luna’s heart skipped a beat at the question, but she quickly composed herself, crossing her arms and scoffing, “Well, that’s a strange question you’re asking. What do you mean by saying I claimed you had an improper relationship with the Head of HR? When did I say that? Did you see it or hear it? If you have any evidence, then question me right here.”
